Dogs are remarkable creatures coming in all shapes and sizes and each with a personality of their own. No two dogs are the same. I am a strong believer in assessing the individual needs of each dog, taking into account their health, character, breed and the wishes of their owner. In my eyes, every dog deserves to walk out of the salon looking top dog.
I also believe that the grooming salon should be a safe, secure and stress-free environment where the welfare of the dog is the number one priority. I follow the 5 Freedoms set out by the Animal Welfare Act, which are:

Freedom from hunger and thirst
Freedom from discomfort
Freedom from pain, injury and disease
Freedom to express normal behaviour
Freedom from fear and distress
Therefore, whilst your pet is in our care its health and welfare is our primary concern.
I am City & Guilds trained – taught by Linda Stone, the owner of The Hair of The Dog salon in Hatfield House. I have three dogs of my own: a Miniature Poodle and two Golden Retrievers. All three are regular visitors to the salon!
